The Jake Haapajoki Memorial Cup is an annual 3v3 hockey tournament held in January. All entry fees, donations, and free-will offerings before and during the event are used to support the Smile Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to two deserving high school seniors.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and an effort to keep our community members safe, the tourney will not be held in January 2021.
However, the committee will still be raising funds to support the scholarship fund. If you’re interested in donating, please visit the GLS Promotions page and either purchase limited edition apparel or make a cash donation.
Looking for Christmas gifts? Be sure to submit your apparel orders by December 13!
Please contact the Peterson and Haapajoki families with any questions. Everyone looks forward to seeing you on the ice in 2022!
The day consists of a 3v3 hockey tournament with 2 age groups. There will be a 12 and under group and a 13 and over Novice and Expert division, games to be played in our backyard rink and another outdoor rink about a 1/4 mile away, entry fee for up to a 5 person team is $100. Winners of the tournament will get their team name along with players on the infamous “ Cup”!
